‘I see myself in Rashford’
Manchester United’s 18-year-old striker Marcus Rashford has scored seven times in 15 games since he made his debut in the Europa League earlier this year. He has drawn much praise for his performances, but perhaps the words from Brazilian legend Ronaldo will mean more for him.
Louis van Gaal likened the striker to Patrick Kluivert and now Ronaldo, a prodigious talent who emerged in the mid-90s, has spoken effusively about the teenager.
“He’s a very good young player," Ronaldo told The Sun.
"I see some of myself in him for sure -- he has courage and he’s fast and is very good with the ball.
“I think for the strikers they have to be hungry to score and I see that with him. He has an amazing future.”
