I will sign new Barca contract: Neymar
Barcelona star Neymar has insisted that he will sign a new contract at Camp Nou amid interest from Manchester United.
The Brazil international held talks with the Red Devils over the summer but has allayed supporters' fears that he may turn down the offer of an improved deal with the La Liga champions.
"The renewal is underway. I have many years of contract here and I'll sign, calm. The fans have to be calm," he told beIN Sports.
The forward's father had recently confirmed that the Brazilian held talks with Louis van Gaal's side over the summer, but the former Santos man suggested he is happy in Catalonia.
Neymar has been under added pressure in recently games due to the prolonged injury lay-off for Argentine Lionel Messi.
However, the 23-year-old was in scintillating form in Barcelona's 5-2 win over Rayo Vallecano in Saturday's La Liga clash, netting four goals and providing a constant threat for the treble winners.
Head coach Luis Enrique praised the player as "electric" following his performance in the win, as the Catalans look to retain their title.
The Asturain coach's side face BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday with the players looking to turn a corner in the competition.
Rather surprisingly, Barcelona were booed during spells in their last European fixture against Bayer Leverkusen, despite their remarkable treble just months earlier.
