Shakib passes 4000 ODI runs
The top allrounder of world cricket, our beloved Shakib Al Hasan became the first Bangladeshi batsman to reach 4000 ODI runs in the ICC Cricket World Cup match versus Afghanistan at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
When Shakib came out to bat, Bangladesh were in a spot of bother. Unfortunately for the Afghan bowlers, Shakib looked at his imperious best as he began his innings with a blazing boundary. He drove and cut with disdain as he and his partner Mushfiqur Rahim upped the ante.
Shakib was finally bowled by Afghanistan pacer Hamid Hassan for 63 runs from 51 balls. The star allrounder struck 6 fours and a massive six in his innings.
Bangladesh's score was 263/7 in the 49th over until report was filed.
