I'm more lethal than Mustafizur: Boult
Trent Boult has played a significant part for New Zealand in their international fixtures, but he continues to warm the bench for his Indian Premier League (IPL) side, the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Boult, who captured the number one spot in the ICC ODI Bowler's rankings in January, hasn't played a Twenty20 match since January 22.
In an interview with the Deccan Chronicle, Boult said that he considered himself more lethal than Mustafizur Rahman.
"The team [Hyderabad] has been performing extremely well. We have played some good cricket. There’s some great quality in the entire squad. Mustafiz has been leading the attack very nicely, well-backed by Bhuvi, who is a neat wicket-taker and Nehra as well. It’s healthy competition. Hopefully, if I do get a chance I can help like these guys take Sunrisers home," Boult said.
However, he also said that he and Mustafizur were compeletely different bowlers and that he thought he was more lethal.
"Mustafizur and I are both entirely different bowlers. I like to think of myself as a more lethal, swing bowler who can take wickets up front whereas he is very skilful with his change of paces. His yorkers are superb as well. But each offers something in a way they can. I like to think I can offer something [to Hyderabad] with my aggressive kind of swing bowling, trying to take wickets," he concluded.
