Mohammedan-Abahani tie ends in draw

Mohammedan Sporting Club held defending champions Abahani to a 2-2 draw in their Green Delta Insurance Premier Division Hockey League match at the Maulana Bhasani Hockey Stadium today.

The Black and Whites took the lead in the ninth minute, thanks to a penalty corner converted by veteran Kamruzzaman Rana. However, Abahani soon equalised and then grabbed the lead, with Toushique Arshad and Shafqat Rasool scoring for the Sky Blues. 

But Mohammedan were not to be denied a point as Soyeb Ali got them back to level terms in the 48th minute.
