Mominul to lead Bangladesh in Emerging Asia Cup
The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced a 15-member squad for the Emerging Teams Asia Cup today. Bangladesh top-order batsman in Test, Mominul Haque will lead the team that also includes four national cricketers also featuring off-spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who was one of the star performers in Bangladesh’s historic win in their 100th Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.
The Emerging Asia Cup involving the second string sides (Under-23) of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and hosts Bangladesh along with the national team of Nepal and Hong Kong will be held in Cox’s Bazar from March 27.
Bangladesh will play their opening game against Hong Kong on the opening day.
