Fahad triumphs over Russian GM Savchenko

IM Fahad Rahman of Bangladesh defeated Russian GM Boris Savchenko in the fourth round of the Pavlodar Open Chess in Pavlodar Province, Kazakhstan, on Tuesday.

Fahad played with white pieces and won the match in the 35th move. With three points at the end of the fourth-round encounter, he currently shares the third place alongside 13 players.

Fahad was scheduled to play Kazakh GM Makhnev Denis in the fifth round on Wednesday.
