Players pay tribute to Mash
Members of the Bangladesh cricket team took to social media to pay tributes to captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who yesterday revealed that he would not play any further T20Is after the series against Sri Lanka.
Taskin Ahmed, someone Mashrafe is always seen joshing around with, wrote: "I don’t know how much longer I will find this hand on my shoulders when I’m on the field. Even before I came into the national side, you were my idol. And for the past three years you have been something more than an guardian. Whenever I am in trouble, I will turn to you, be 100 per cent of that. Among all of those that I have endless love for and those I obey, you are one of those them. There are still many things I have yet to take from you, many things which I still have to learn. I am waiting with hopes to learn."
Anamul Haque Bijoy simply posted a picture, without a caption, hoping it would say a thousand words.
Even a newcomer like Nurul Hasan Sohan displayed his affection for the captain.
Rubel Hossain wrote: "Mashrafe Bhai, it's hard to believe that you have taken a decision like this and Bangladesh will never play T20s under your leadership. Since the start of my career, you have been by my side through the good and bad times. I am proud that I played under your leadership for so long. I don't know how much longer I can play one-days with you, but you will always remain an inspiration to me. Truly, we love you a lot."
