Ronaldo extends lead over Messi
-Cristiano Ronaldo broke Raul’s Real Madrid scoring record
-He scored the 324th goal for Real in the 3-0 win over Levante
-Current goals total in La Liga: Ronaldo 6-3 Messi
Cristiano Ronaldo broke Raul's career Real Madrid scoring record and the Portuguese forward's 324th goal for Los Blancos also extended his lead over Lionel Messi in this season's league scoring race between the two superstars.
Wearing a very special pair of boots, Ronaldo took six shots in Madrid's 3-0 win over Levante and scored with a 22-yard effort in the 30th minute.
Meanwhile, Messi continues to recover from injury, although Barcelona managed just fine without him vs.
Rayo Vallecano, winning 5-2 thanks to a four-goal display from Neymar.
Here's what our Real Madrid blogger had to say about Ronaldo's performance.
Ed Alvarez: 8/10 -- A great performance by Ronaldo.
Assisted Marcelo in Real Madrid's opener and scored a cracker off a half-decent pass from [Toni] Kroos, with which he broke Raul's record as Real Madrid's all-time top scorer.
He also participated more often than usual in Madrid's buildup and was key to the hosts' victory.
One only wishes he'd stop taking free-kicks once and for all.
