The Bangladesh women's cricket team continued their winning run in the 13th South Asian games, defeating hosts Nepal by 10 wickets in their second match of the tournament at Pokhara today to give themselves a strong chance of making the final of the tournament.

Having won the toss and electing to field, Bangladesh bundled Nepal out for just 50 runs in the T20 affair with Rabeya Khan bagging four wickets for just eight runs. Jahanara Alam made the early inroads, picking up two wickets for two runs in three overs while Salma Khatun, Nahida Akhter and Fahima Khatun bagged one wicket each.

Bangladesh picked up the win in just 7.4 overs with openers Murshida Khatun and Ayesha Rahman hitting unbeaten 22 and 26 respectively. The ten-wicket win sees Bangladesh keep their hopes alive of clinching gold in the tournament. Bangladesh lead the four-team table with four points and will play Maldives tomorrow in their last group phase match. The final of the tournament is scheduled for December 8th.

Bangladesh had earlier romped to a seven-wicket win over fellow title-contenders Sri Lanka during their first match in the T20 competition yesterday.
