Shark rams Steyn in cage

The man who terrorized so many batsmen around the world with his searing pace and intensity, Dale Steyn, the South African fast bowler was at the receiving end of a rather scary introduction from a great white shark in the ocean.

Dale Steyn posted the video on Instagram where a great white shark clattered into the cage which housed the cricketer and his friends on Tuesday. The terrifying creature came really close to the cage, retreated and then came back with force and rammed the steel structure to send a clear and chilling message to its inhabitants.

Always up for an adventure, Proteas pacer missed most of the recent Test and ODI matches against England due to injury, and nearly did even more damage to himself by the jaws of a great white. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

The South African cricketer has recently been recovering from a shoulder injury, and is hoping to be fully fit for the ICC World Twenty20 in India next month.

South Africa squad for ICC World Twenty20 in India:

Faf du Plessis (captain), Kyle Abbott, Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Quinton de Kock, AB de Villiers, JP Duminy, Imran Tahir, David Miller, Chris Morris, Aaron Phangiso, Kagiso Rabada, Rilee Rossouw, Dale Steyn, David Wiese
