Shakib departs after 100-run stand with Hridoy
Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan missed out on his 10th ODI century as he departed for an 85-ball 80 following a 101-run stand with Towhid Hridoy in their Asia Cup Super Four contest against India at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Friday.
Shakib, who played a series of commanding strokes to put away six fours and three maximums, played one onto the stumps in the 34th over bowled by seamer Shardul Thakur. It appeared that Shakib suffered from a lapse in concentration due to the Drinks Break as he played a half-hearted shot in the very first delivery of the over to leave Bangladesh reeling at five down for 160.
