South Africa captain Temba Bavuma was gracious in defeat as he complimented Bangladesh's clinical performance after the home side were handed a nine-wicket thrashing by the Tigers at the Super Sport Park in Centurion on Wednesday.

"For me, the Bangladeshis were the better outfit. They showed us how to play. You saw how clinical they were with the bat. We were completely outplayed in this series," said Bavuma after match. 

Bavuma focused on making a comeback in the one-dayers as the Proteas have their backs against the wall in the ODI Super League table, with upcoming ODI World Cup qualifications at stake.

"We need to qualify for the World Cup. We have taken a couple of steps back in this series after taking steps forward against India. We still have the opportunity to get those points."
