Bijoy out for 73 in first ODI since 2019
Anamaul Haque Bijoy scored 73 off 62 deliveries during the first ODI against Zimbabwe on Friday, which was his first one-day international appearance since 2019.
The right-handed batsman, who came in after the dismissal of skipper Tamim Iqbal, smashed three sixes and six fours in his innings.
This was the fourth half-century for Anamul in this format, alongside three centuries.
The 29-year-old, who had smashed record runs in List-A cricket earlier in the year, played a decent knock, starting slowly before shifting gears as he went through the innings.
He had a reprieve, though, when dropped on 71 by Wesley Madhevere off the bowling of Richard Ngarava in the 45th over.
