Zimbabwe without two proven pacers against Bangladesh
In the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, hosts Zimbabwe will not be receiving the services of Blessing Mujarabani and Tendai Chatara, the two tried-and-tested pacers they heavily relied on against the Tigers previously.
Zimbabwe, already short on strength, had their team hit by unexpected injuries. Chatara is unable to play because of a collarbone fracture while Mujarabani sustained a thigh muscle tear. Both were injured during the T20 World Cup qualifier earlier this month.
In their absence, Victor Nyauchi has been kept in the Craig Ervine-led squad while all-rounder Tony Munyonanga and pacer Tanaka Chivanga making the cut into the Chevrons.
Harare Sports Club ground is set to host all three matches, the first of which begins on Saturday. The remaining matches will take place on Sunday and August 2, respectively.
Zimbabwe T20I squad:
Ryan Burl, Regis Chakabva, Tanaka Chivanga, Craig Ervine (C), Luke Jongwe, Innocent Kaia, Wessly Madhevere, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Richard Ngarava, Victor Nyauchi, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Sean Williams.
