Fletcher, Soumya carnage sees Khulna pick up easy win

Mohammad Mithun hit a brilliant 51-ball 72 to help guide Sylhet Sunrisers to a challenging score of 142 for 5 but the target amounted to nothing against Khulna Tigers as they pickup a nine-wicket win at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.

Sent to bat, Sylhet lost both openers cheaply before Mithun's lone effort saw them to a challenging score.

However, Khulna's Andre Fletcher and Soumya Sarkar made easy work of the chase. Soumya made his first meaningful contribution with the bat in the tournament, hitting a 31-ball 43 during a 99-run opening stand with Fletcher, who remained unbeaten on a 47-ball 71.

Thisara Perera made further short work of the chase hitting a 9-ball 22 as Khulna bagged their third win in the tournament with 34 deliveries to spare.
