Former Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes joined Comilla Victorians for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League and was seen during the team's training session today.

Although local coach Mohammad Salahuddin is all set to work as the head coach of Comilla, the team management is yet to reveal Rhodes' role in the team. It is understood that the Englishman may work in the advisory panel and share his experience.

According to the sources close to Comilla, it was learned that Rhodes arrived in Dhaka on Saturday.

The 57-year-old joined as the head coach of Bangladesh for two years back in 2018. Under his tenure, the Tigers won the first-ever triangular series and also managed to win the T20 and ODI series against West Indies. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board parted ways with Rhodes following the debacle in the 2019 ICC World Cup.

Rhodes, who played 11 Tests and nine ODIs for England, has worked as the director of cricket for the English county side Worcestershire from 2006 to 2017.
