If I do well, there will be opportunities: Taskin on PSL snub
Bangladesh paceman Taskin Ahmed had been reportedly approached by IPL franchises multiple times in the past but could not avail those opportunities due to not getting an NOC from the BCB. Having remained unpicked in the recent PSL draft, the speedster was asked if he was disappointed with the development after his side Durbar Rajshahi's match against Chittagong Kings yesterday.
"What's there to be upset about?" Taskin said with a smile during the press conference.

Rajshahi coach Ijaz Ahmed had said previously that Lahore Qalandars wanted Taskin in this PSL, but that was not reflected in the players' draft.
In an international career that spans over a decade, Taskin's only foray in franchise T20 tournament outside the BPL remains the Lankan Premier League.
Taskin was heavily rumoured to join the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL a few seasons back as a replacement, however, that didn't happen after the BCB did not issue him the NOC. He had registered for the last IPL auction as well, but none of the franchise showed any interest to secure his services.
"I could not go to the IPL despite having the opportunity to do so three times previously. If that had been upsetting to me, I would've hung myself by now. I'm not disappointed at all [about not getting picked in PSL]. It's what my fortunes are, there will be a lot more chances in the future inshallah," he said.
His previous IPL opportunities came due to injuries to other players. There were suggestions that a similar development was gathering wind before the upcoming IPL. Taskin relayed that he has not been in communication with any franchises yet following the IPL players' draft.
"Since I didn't get a team in the draft, if there is a need for replacement, they may take me. It's the same for the PSL. Personally, I didn't talk to anyone. Agents actually handle these things so I haven't been in communication [with any franchises]," he concluded.
