Sylhet Strikers ended the Sylhet phase with a defeat, suffering a 30-run loss to Chittagong Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Chittagong's overseas batters set up the victory with England's Graham Clark making 60 off 33 balls, and Pakistan's Usman Khan scoring 53 off 35 deliveries and Haider Ali hitting an unbeaten 18-ball 42 to power them to 203-6 in their 20 overs after they were sent to bat first.

Sylhet pacer Tanzim Sakib claimed a couple of wickets.

In reply, Sylhet got off to a poor start, as they lost three wickets inside the Powerplay. A 52-run knock off 37 balls from George Munsey and an unbeaten 23-ball 47 from Jaker Ali entertained the home fans but it could only reduce the margin of defeat.

With the win, Chittagong have risen to the second spot in the points-table, with three wins in four games.

Sylhet, meanwhile, have just two wins in six games and are fifth in the table with four points.
