Usman Khan struck a brilliant 123 off 62 balls to power Chittagong Kings to their first win in the Bangladesh Premier League T20 with a 105-run victory against Durbar Rajshahi in the first match of Friday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.

Usman's blistering century – the first century of the tournament -- featured 13 fours and six sixes.

The Pakistani batter also shared a massive 120-run stand with Graham Clark (40) to lay a solid foundation before Mohammad Mithun (28) and Haider Ali (19 not out) made meaningful contributions to propel Chittagong to 219-5 in their stipulated overs.

It was also the highest total in the ongoing edition, surpassing Khulna Tigers' 203-4 against Chittagong.

The 29-year-old, however, rode his luck a couple of time as he was dropped twice -- on 81 and 95 runs by Anamul Haque Bijoy and Shafiul Islam, respectively.

Rajshahi, in reply, lost wickets at regular intervals, and despite Mohammad Haris' 32-run innings, none of the other batters could make any decent contribution with the bat before they were bowled out for 114 runs in 17.1 overs.

It was Rajshahi's second defeat in three games and they are now in fifth position on the points table with two points.

Aliss Al Islam and Arafat Sunny picked up three wickets each while Shoriful Islam and Mohammad Wasim Jnr took two wickets each.
