The most anticipated match of the 2023 World Cup will begin today when hosts India take on archrivals Pakistan at the 132,000-capacity Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium in the world.

- India skipper Rohit Sharma is just three sixes away from reaching the milestone of 300 sixes in ODIs. With 297 maximums in 253 matches, Rohit sits third on the list for most ODI sixes behind Shahid Afridi (351 sixes in 391 ODIs) and Chris Gayle (331 sixes in 301 ODIs).
- Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali requires three more wickets to get to 100 ODI wickets. Since his debut in 2016, no one has taken more wickets than Hasan for Pakistan in ODIs.
- Virat Kohli needs 51 more runs to surpass Mahela Jayawardene and become the fourth-highest run-getter in international cricket.
- Shubman Gill needs 83 more runs to become the fastest to 2000 runs in ODIs. Gill has scored 1917 runs in 35 innings and could overtake Hashim Amla, who holds the record in this regard as he reached 2000 ODI runs in 40 innings.
