Usha’s Pakistani recruits given all-clear
The visa complications of five Pakistani players contracted by Usha Krira Chakra has seemingly been resolved after the Special Branch of Police today gave all-clear for their entry into Bangladesh, informed the club’s manager Rafiqul Islam Kamal.
The defending champions of Premier Division Hockey League recruited the five Pakistani players for the league, which began on May 12. Three out of those five players are members of the Pakistan national team while the other two were recently called up to camp. However, it has been learnt that SB did not initially give clearance for visa for these five Pakistanis before they finally giving all-clear today and sent the files to the foreign ministry.
Kamal informed that now that the issue is resolved, they are expecting the five Pakistanis to arrive here by Wednesday. Usha have played one game in the league so far, which was a 4-1 win against Wari Club and their next game is tomorrow against Bangladesh Railway.
