5 Years of Holey Artisan attack: How capable are we in tackling militancy?

Five years ago, on July 1, 2016, a single horrifying incident changed the perception of militancy in Bangladesh -- that even educated youths from well-off families can be lured into this most atrocious crime.

But have the law enforcement agencies been able to adapt with the changing tactics of militant groups? Are the people of Bangladesh safe now?

On the 5th anniversary of Holey Artisan attack, Star Multimedia has produced a special content. The Daily Star's crime reporter Jamil Khan spoke to Md Asaduzzaman, Chief of Counter-Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, on the current situation of militancy in Bangladesh, and how the law enforcement agencies are planning to tackle threats to the nation.
