Barbershop with library!

People generally go to libraries seeking information and knowledge, and sometimes for leisure. But what if you could catch up on reading while waiting for a haircut?  

Thirty barbershops in Lalmonirhat’s Aditmari upazila are providing that opportunity. The “library-barbershops” are an initiative of Sarpukur Jubo Forum Pathagar at Tipar Bazar.

Not only those who wait for haircut but also other locals go there to read books. The libraries have turned into recreation venues.

Jamal Hossain, an honours student, first took the initiative to establish a barbershop as a library as there was no place for readers in the area.
