‘Tal Pakha’ brings joy to Natore villagers

An entire village in Natore is busy weaving hand fans using palm leaves locally known as 'Tal Pakha'.

The villagers are either weaving the hand fans or painting the finished products.

Nearly 400 people of 100 families are involved in weaving Tal Pakha in Hapania village in Natore district.

Due to the vast production of hand fans the village is called 'Village of Tal Pakha' instead of Hapania.
