After migrating to South Korea in 1999, he made a short film about the hazardous working conditions of factory workers. That was his acting debut as well.
Eventually, he started acting in Korean films. Now a well-known actor in South Korea, Mahbub has received international accolades as well.
A dual citizen, Mahbub continues to work in films. Besides acting, he founded his own production house 'M and M International'.
