Forced to leave, livelihoods at stake
The Covid-19 pandemic in the last one and a half years, has resulted in multiple shutdowns, closures and now a lockdown to prevent further spread.
Countless people have found themselves without any work.

Left with no other options, many are leaving the city to return to the village.
So, what does the future hold for this group? Will they be able to return to this city at some point? The Daily Star's Manikganj and Munshiganj correspondents came across many such helpless people, and they told today's Star News Plus about their stories.
