Rahat Rahman is the man behind the camera – the storyteller and the director. An established ad-filmmaker, Rahat recently made a name for himself with his telefilm Monkey Business. As the name would suggest, the film was a jumble of unique characters, bizarre subplots and unconvemtional dialogues. To the young doers of Bangladesh, Rahat Rahman is surely an inspiration. What are the three things you would take with you to a deserted island?
A boat, a book on how to drive a boat, and a map so I can escape the island and get back to the city before nightfall.

What is the message you would like to give to all the young people trying to enter your profession?
Make sure you are watching films on a regular basis, at least four films a week. Film making is not just a profession, it's a lifestyle so first make sure you are fully determined to commit to it. Also, make sure you constantly question and refine your own intents and observe others thoroughly.
Who is or are your inspiration?
Michel Gondry's debut film Human Nature inspired me to want to become a director. Besides him, Christopher Nolan always inspired me, and I greatly admire the works of Todd Solondz, Noah Baumbach, Wes Anderson, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, David Fincher and Anurag Kashyap.
