Four stories

At Star Weekend, we try to find and frame the stories around us. Stories of strife and injustice and joy and history. This week, in what feels like a penultimate time, we decided to explore some of the stories that exist within. The handful of stories making up this fiction issue served a different purpose for their writers—one was meant to be therapeutic, another allowed the writer to create and explore new worlds; the reading and writing of one felt as liberating as does the character in its climax, and another was inspired by a song and gave birth to a character that the writer grew to care deeply for. This Friday, we’re just chilling for a change.
