6th Children Science Congress 2019 held
Children Science Congress hosted the 6th Children Science Congress 2019 at University of Asia Pacific recently, where close to 400 science students gathered to participate in a paper presentation, poster exhibition, project showcase, joint-congress, networking segment and other programmes.
These students were selected after reviews of more than 3000 concept papers submitted by students coming from different areas of Bangladesh. The programme was inaugurated in presence of the Vice Chancellor of University of Asia Pacific Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury, biological scientist Dr Rezaur Rahman, Executive Director of Bangladesh Freedom Federation, Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury, General Secretary of Bangladesh Mathematical Olympiad, Munir Hasan and General Secretary of Society for the Popularization of Science, Bangladesh, Dr Farseem Mannan Mohammedy.
In the event, three research papers were awarded with the titles, Paper of The Congress, Poster of The Congress and Project of The Congress. 50 students received the Science Congress Research and Travel Grant. The winners of the congress will take part in the 6th Jagdish Chandra Bose Camp where they will be trained by experts to conduct proper research projects, and attend different international science conferences. Children Science Congress 2019 aims to inspire the young students to participate in renowned international events and contribute to the development of Bangladesh.
