A Bangladesh national has died in an Indian hospital after Border Security Force (BSF) tortured him for intruding in the country through Lalmonirhat’s Durgapur frontier on January 20, the deceased’s family says.
“This year the number of border killing has increased. India is assuring repeatedly that it won’t happen. Yet it is happening,” he told reporters at a press conference at the foreign ministry today.
Terming the border killings “unfortunate deaths”, Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Director General Rajni Kant Mishra today said such incidents have increased this year.
