At least 11 young men from Faridpur who were believed to be onboard the recently capsized boat in the Mediterranean Sea remained missing as of yesterday.
Monowara Khatun had received a phone call from her son Rashed Mia early Monday. He said he was coming home from Tunisia.
The Tunisian coastguard has recovered two more bodies from the Mediterranean where an overcrowded boat capsized on May 9. “Two more bodies were recovered yesterday. The victims are Bangladeshis, but their identities are not known yet. We are trying to identify them,” said ASM Ashraful Islam
Siraj Miah has not stopped shedding tears since hearing news of his son Liton Miah’s death in the tragic boat capsize off the Tunisian coast on Friday night. In between mourning, he repeatedly demanded punishment for the travel agent who had planned Liton’s journey to Italy.
