With a worldwide gross of over $460 million, "Moon Man" is a box-office sensation, and the opening screening promises to be an exciting start to the festival.
DIFF will screen approximately 250 films from 75 countries, including Indian entries such as “In the Belly of a Tiger” by Siddharth Jatla, Soumik Roychowdhury’s “Beline”, and Srijit Mukherji’s “Padatik”, which is part of the Cinema of the World category.

“The budget for our film was a mere 680 taka. In one room, and in two days, my first directorial ‘Anger’ was made, and here we are.” Showrov Kamal Chowdhury said to the crowd before the screenings began. It was the 7th day of the Dhaka International Film Festival and the evening was about the screening of 7 short films, under the segment ‘Bangladesh Panorama’.
