Khadi Fest 2024 spotlights Bangladesh's cultural heritage
Not only in our country but throughout the Indian sub-continent, Khadi remains a timeless fabric cherished for its unique texture, breathability, and versatility. Celebrating the beauty of Khadi, the Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB) has organised ‘Khadi Fest 2024,’ scheduled from 19 to 20 January 2024, at Aloki Convention Center, 211 Tejgaon Link Road, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Showcasing slow fashion by reviving Bangladeshi heritage
Fashion aficionados were treated to a two-day gala at the FDCB event, which kicked off with a touching tribute to the late designer, Emdad Haque. Day one got off to a spectacular start, with Apex showcasing their latest footwear collection, while personal care brand, Ujjwala care, and hair care giant, Streax, wowed the audience with their innovative hair solutions.

‘The Impossible Collection Of Fashion’ by FDCB: An entrancing fashion show promoting slow fashion
Fashion Design Council of Bangladesh (FDCB), a platform of designers who promote slow fashion that is both sustainable and friendly to our environment, presented a charming fashion show, ‘The Impossible Collection Of Fashion’ at the American Club in Gulshan recently, showcasing 14 Bangladeshi designers who are creating designs with exciting fields of inspiration for every style which can be nurtured to brand Bangladeshi culture globally.
