International Day Of The Girl Child

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD 2024 / What it means to be a girl

To be a girl means being silent while our world is burning.

International Day of the Girl Child / Are we doing enough to make education safe for girls?

The systemic barriers that hinder girls’ pursuit of education have continued to remain deeply ingrained in our society.

How do we help our girl children take the big leap?

How many women or girls in our country get the opportunity to chase their dreams?

Creating a skilled girlforce

International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC), is commemorated on October 11 every year, to highlight the challenges girls face, promote their empowerment and fulfil their human rights.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD / A reality far from poetic

There is something very beautiful about being in transition, being stuck in between. Whether it's in transit at an airport, a city that's somewhere between the east and the west, dawn or dusk, when the day is either deciding on a beginning or an end, or a woman in her adolescence, on the journey to transforming into a woman from a child.
