The Jamuna River is showing signs of erosion at Dhekuria point near Shahid M Monsur Ali Eco Park in Kazipur upazila of Sirajganj since yesterday.
The continuous erosion by the Jamuna is threatening the homes and livelihoods of hundreds in Kalihati and Bhuapur upazilas of Tangail.
The water level of Jamuna is rising due to heavy flow from the hill. As a result, erosion started in Shibalaya upazilla of Manikganj.
