The High Court yesterday halted the felling of century-old trees along the Jessore-Benapole road following protests against a government decision to cut them down.
Students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) and Chittagong Univerity (CU) protest the governemrnt decision of felling 2,700 trees, many of those century-old, along the Jessore-Benapole highway for widening of the road.
