However, the wait is over, as two major concerts are set to take place today at separate venues in the capital, featuring an exciting lineup of musicians.
To mark six months since the victory of the July Uprising on August 5, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement (SAD) is set to host one of Bangladesh’s largest open-air concerts. Titled “Rebuilding the Nation”, the event will take place on February 22 at Sher-E-Bangla Nagar in Agargaon, Dhaka, the former venue of the Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF).
The much-anticipated concert “Gala Night” for the Flower Fest 2025 event is set to take place at the MA Aziz Stadium in Chattogram on February 6.
This year's “Riyadh Season”, organised by Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Media, features artistes from nine countries, including Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. The 45-day event, which began on October 12, will conclude on November 30.
Originally being among the “Big Three” that popularised rock music in Bangladesh, he has long transcended his status as a musician to become a true cultural icon. The sheer response he derives out of any crowd, in any place and in any situation testifies his ever-lasting popularity among both avid music lovers and casual fans. Indeed, there can only be one 'Guru' and at the moment, it is none other than James.
