Following the release of 11 Dhallywood films for and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, there have been changes in the line-up of movies still screened during the third week. Certain theatres have witnessed a decrease in screenings, while others have seen an increase. Additionally, there's been varied buzz surrounding different films, with some garnering more attention than others.
Amidst the list of films released on Eid-ul-Fitr, the first to hit international screens is the Himel Ashraf directorial film “Rajkumar”, starring Shakib Khan. Following its domestic reception, the film has been screened in 75 theaters across the United States and Canada since April 19.
This Eid-ul-Fitr, an astounding number of films–totalling 11– were released, offering a wide selection for movie-goers. Amongst them, the Shakib Khan starrer “Rajkumar” is predictably leading in earnings in its first week. Directed by Himel Ashraf, the film premiered in a record-breaking 127 cinemas and has been selling out in all multiplexes since its opening day. It is also performing strongly in single-screen theatres.
In anticipation of the upcoming film "Omar," directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz, the production team has released its first song titled "Viral Baby," featuring the dynamic vocal talents of Kona and Ishan Mitra.

Sariful Razz's films are set to hit the screens almost 18 months after his last release, "Damal," which premiered on October 28, 2022. This Eid-ul-Fitr, fans can expect three simultaneous film releases featuring the actor.
In 2023, a significant portion of the big-budgeted films screened in Dhaka primarily comprised of those released during Eid. During that period, numerous individuals within the cinema industry remarked that movies in Dhaka were predominantly scheduled around Eid. Outside of these festive seasons, production houses seemed hesitant to release big-budget films.
Eid-ul-Fitr is just around the corner, with the month of Ramadan set to begin in a few days, leading up to the grand celebration of Eid—the biggest festival of the year. Numerous movies are slated for release during this festive season.

While the anticipated date for Eid-ul-Fitr falls in the second week of April, there is currently significant discourse surrounding the movie releases during this period. Numerous production companies have already disclosed the potential titles of their films, with about half a dozen movies in consideration.
