The film industry continues to face significant challenges as most cinemas remain closed, and the few that have reopened are struggling due to a lack of new releases. Filmmakers are hesitant to debut their projects in this climate, forcing theatre owners to rely on screening older films.
Making the announcement Arshad Adnan disclosed that “Shaheb” will be directed by emerging filmmaker Saif Chandan, with Himel Ashraf serving as the film's advisor. The film is slated for release on Eid next year.

Released last year during Eid-ul-Azha, "Priyotoma" not only captured the hearts of audiences but also enjoyed significant commercial success. Following this triumph, the duo presented "Rajkumar" during Eid-ul-Fitr this year, which, although receiving positive reviews, couldn't quite match the commercial prowess of its predecessor.
Following the release of 11 Dhallywood films for and on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, there have been changes in the line-up of movies still screened during the third week. Certain theatres have witnessed a decrease in screenings, while others have seen an increase. Additionally, there's been varied buzz surrounding different films, with some garnering more attention than others.
The first poster of the film “Rajkumar” was unveiled in late March, featuring only Shakib Khan prominently. While the names of the hero, director (Himel Ashraf), and producer (Arshad Adnan) were highlighted in bold letters, the heroine's picture or name was notably absent. Viewers speculated that the hero and heroine might appear together in the next poster, but that didn't materialise either.

Dhallywood's Shakib Khan has dedicated 18 consecutive weeks to filming “Rajkumar” at different sites across the United States. Following the shoot, he arrived in Dhaka from New York via an Emirates airline flight on Wednesday morning. Upon his return, he swiftly headed back to Rangamati. Shakib Khan travelled there by helicopter at 4:00pm. According to the film's director, Himel Ashraf, the filming for “Rajkumar” will conclude there within the next two days.
