Eid drama “Ghran” has emerged as a surprise hit, crossing 7.2 million views on YouTube within just two weeks of its release. Currently trending at number 20, the Masrikul Alam-directed drama has sparked emotional responses from viewers, many of whom praised its heartfelt portrayal of a son’s search for his mother’s forgotten birthday.
Inspired by Mahmud Didar’s short story “Alternative,” the screenplay “Tomake Bhalobashar Por,” written and directed by Didar himself, is set to premiere on Channel i, with production by Impress Telefilm.
The theatre festival and award ceremony will be held on the eve of International Women’s Day at the Mahila Samity’s Nilima Ibrahim Milanayatan, said Sayem Samad, lead artiste of Kanchkhela Repertory Theatre.
