National Award-winning actress Runa Khan, known for her powerful performance in “Haldaa”, has recently wrapped up filming for a new web-series titled “Bohemian Ghora” opposite acclaimed actor Mosharraf Karim. Directed by Amitabh Reza, the series features Mosharraf Karim opposite eight different female leads, including Runa.
The National Award winner believes that playing the titular role in any film is a great honour and a matter of immense joy for any artiste. “It feels incredibly fulfilling when you have the opportunity to play the lead role. I am both happy and excited to witness the audience’s reaction.”
Recently, actors Runa Khan, Mehazabien Chowdhury, and Tanjin Tisha found themselves at the centre of controversies for different reasons. However, during a recent award show, they all addressed the issues head-on and clarified their positions.
Reflecting further on her experience, the actress remarked, “I discovered an entirely different side of Selim bhai during this project. While I have collaborated with him on numerous occasions, this project felt unique as it allowed me to see him from a fresh perspective.”

For her latest film, "Neel Padma" (The Blue Lotus), Runa delved deep into the heart of Rajbari’s Daulatdia, one of the largest brothels in the subcontinent, to bring her character to life.
“Neelpadma” is based on the lives of sex workers in red-light districts of Rajbari’s Daulatdia. Acclaimed actress Runa Khan plays the character of the central protagonist of the film.
Popular film, TV and theatre actor Runa Khan has three films in the release pipeline, two of which will come out this year.
