Sagorika happy that 'everyone knows her now'

Bangladesh striker Mosammat Sagorika expressed her delight at receiving trophies for the best player and the top scorer in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship, seven days after the final had taken place in Dhaka.

The final of the SAFF Under-19 Women's Championship Coin-toss chaos ended in a chaotic manner owing to a controversial decision by Sri Lankan match commissioner Silva Jayasooriya Dilan, which culminated in Bangladesh and India sharing the glory.

Bangladesh forward Mosammat Sagorika said she drew inspiration from the presence of her parents at the Birshreshtha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka to go that extra mile in rescuing a draw for her side against India in the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship final on Thursday.
