The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) yesterday filed separate cases against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her son, Sajeeb Wazed Joy.
The investigation team also requested their personal documents from the EC, and Immigration and Passport Office
The Anti-Corruption Commission has decided to launch an investigation against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy on allegations of laundering $300 million to the United States.
A case was filed yesterday against Sajeeb Wazed Joy, former prime minister Sheikh Hasina’s son and ICT adviser, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, former state minister for ICT, and 17 others over selling citizens’ National ID (NID) information.
Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, said he was happy with the army chief’s timeline for elections within 18 months, though it was later than expected, but warned that genuine reform and polls were impossible without her party.
“Sheikh Hasina's son urged the Modi government to hold an election within 90 days in Bangladesh. But he did not appeal to the Bangladeshi people," he said.
Former PM Hasina's son has been on a whirlwind media tour since her fall
In an interview with Indian Express, Hasina's son also says govt should have talked to students from the start of quota protests
From there, the former PM recently issued a message to her party members, stating, "I resigned so that I wouldn’t have to witness a trail of dead bodies. They wanted to seize power by sacrificing students, but I didn’t allow that to happen. I stepped down as PM to prevent further bloodshed."

“Did you know babe, I am actually older than my age on Hinge. And because I am very fit, which everyone tells me all the time, everyone always guesses that is my age,” said Jay, staring into the mirror, trying to fix his hairline.
