Anti-war play ‘Tringsha Shatabdi’ returns to Dhaka this Saturday
Directed by Zahid Repon and originally written by Badal Sircar, the play is a powerful anti-war statement, reflecting on the tragedies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as well as other global conflicts, including those in Bangladesh, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Ukraine, and Palestine.

On the day, followed by a discussion on Marcel Marceau's life, work, and the significance of the day, theatre troupe Swapnadal’s "Macbeth" will be showcased at 7:30pm.

The 25th edition of the festival, arranged by India’s prestigious theatre school National School of Drama, will begin on February 1 in Mumbai and will be held across 15 cities till February 21 with the theme, “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, Vande Bharangam”.

Under their two-day long initiative, titled “Natyacharya Selim Al Deen Smaran Utsab”, they will stage two of their most popular shows, “Chitrangada” and “Macbeth” on January 13 and 14 respectively, at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
