Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul’s three-member Advisory Committee has attracted a lot of criticism as the nomination of its members has not been in line with the board’s constitution.
The independent inquiry committee, set up by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) in February to assist its Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) in investigating suspicious activities during the last Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20, will need another one-and-a-half to two months to finalise its report.
When Aminul Islam Bulbul joined the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) under unprecedented circumstances, replacing Faruque Ahmed as the president, it was expected that his major task would be reforms in the BCB constitution and bringing about elections in October.
The petition also challenged the legality of NSC's decision to appoint former national captain Aminul Islam Bulbul as the new BCB president, Faruque's counsel Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal told The Daily Star.
Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud has clarified that the removal of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Faruque Ahmed was driven by performance issues, not allegations of corruption.

Faruque Ahmed ascended to the presidency of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) after the July uprising, with the onus of reforming the board from the inside. But his tenure ended in a little over nine months before the reform initiative could even begin.
The newly elected Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, Aminul Islam Bulbul, urged everyone to work together to take the country’s cricket to a new height.
The procedure is understood to be a formality, with sources saying that the directors are in agreement
