Minority community leaders in Bangladesh today demanded resignation of Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen over statements they claimed he made while visiting India, regarding atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen today (May 27, 2022) left for Guwahati to attend the third edition of international river conference titled, “NADI Conclave”, from May 28-29 that will be inaugurated by his Indian counterpart S Jaishankar.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said there might have been excesses while enforcing the Digital Security Act, "but the government is now very careful to make sure the law is not abused".
