Photography exhibition ‘Contemplation’ to open today

A group photo exhibition titled “Contemplation” is scheduled to commence today at 6pm at La Galerie Alliance Française de Dhaka in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.

The Biennale für aktuelle Fotografie, a contemporary photography exhibition based in Germany, has been canceled following accusations of antisemitism related to social media posts by one of the curators. The cities of Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, and Heidelberg in Germany, where the event was scheduled to take place, deemed the content as "antisemitic". The Biennale was originally slated to open in March 2024.

A solemn walk through ‘Ten Years After Rana Plaza’

Ismail had been photographing the Rana Plaza disaster and its victims since 2013, having taken breaks in between due to the sheer mental exhaustion that he faced as an onlooker of such a tragedy.
