At least $4.45 billion is needed in fuel costs to ensure adequate power supply from February to June, when demand is set to increase by more than 50 percent, the Bangladesh Power Development Board (PDB) estimates.
The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has urged the people of the country to keep patience “as the power supply will be restored across the country as soon as possible”.
Power supply to all areas of Dhaka city will be restored by 8pm today (October 4, 2022).
