The much-anticipated trailer for "Nirvana", a haunting black-and-white film, has finally dropped. Directed by Asif Islam, the 85-minute feature stands out not just for its monochrome aesthetic but also for its decision to forgo dialogue entirely. Instead, the film relies solely on visual storytelling to unravel the quiet, profound lives of three factory workers.
The 46th Moscow International Film Festival opened on April 19th, showcasing a vibrant celebration of global cinema. Among the prestigious competition entries is Bangladesh's film "Nirvana".
Asif Islam's “Nirvana” has been selected to represent Bangladesh in the upcoming 46th edition of the festival.
“As a filmmaker, it gives me immense joy to have learnt that the film got selected in the competition category with so many notable international films,” said the “Lal Moroger Jhuti” director. “Although it took us quite a long time to bring the film to a releasable state, we really worked hard to make this project. I hope that it continues to make a mark all around the world, through different festivals.
Juboraj Shamim’s “Adim” has been scoring numerous accolades and awards for his hard-hitting concept. After reigning over the 44th Moscow International Film Festival, the film has won an award at the prestigious Queens World Film Festival in USA.
